Lerma claims to be a proponent of free speech yet only manufactured this argument after he was sued for copyright infringement.  The copyright owner filed suit against Lerma whose free speech defense was considered and rejected by the judge.  The court entered a permanent injunction against Lerma, who paid $12,000 in fees and costs to the plaintiffs.
