Canadian anti-religious extremist,Gregg Hagglund, has more than one method of preying upon people who use the internet. In addition to his harassment of parishioners, he also searches out impressionable individuals who can be manipulated into forwarding his agenda of hate. Linda Andersen of Toronto, Canada, is one such casualty.
According to her newsgroup postings, Andersen suffers from a severe anxiety disorder to the extent that she is on medication. Shouldn’t she spend more time in taking care of her health and engaging in peaceful activities instead of going out of her way to harass and attack others?
Andersen had no prior history of attacking religious organizations until, in March 2000, she apparently wandered into a newsgroup frequented by extremists and fell victim to their lies. With no real prior knowledge of Scientology she was convinced by Gregg Hagglund to join him in participating in hate marches against the Church. It seems Hagglund’s boasts led her to believe that the Toronto Church was an easy target that she could harass with impunity – an assumption which proved to be untrue.
